[CRNMC] List Serve & meetings

Greetings,

I know it's hard to get us all together. However, cutting out some of
the helpful and insightful people from our group because they also
belong to other groups which are also working to improve things in our
county, seems unfair and a waste of great talent. I'm sure we can find
some times to meet when we all, or at least most of us, can attend.

As all these groups such as Public Banking, etc. will all be
fundraising, it seems important to know what we're each doing. We don't
want to be competing for the same dates as we will often be pulling the
same audience.

I can understand committee meetings, but not if they are supposedly
creating policy the rest of us know nothing about and so have no way to
speak up. I believe agendas put out ahead & then only those things are
decided on or discussed could help.

I guess my rub is that when a small group of people gets together and
makes policy , unless they're authorized ahead of time by an agenda to
make that policy, the rest of us (who may be at other meetings) aren't
able to weigh in. (Sorry but this is how Cal-Trans has done it's many
changes & I don't want to be part of an organization that acts that way.)

As for the email, having people actually create & then change the
subject line can help too. Otherwise we'll need to go to the old method
of phone trees. The did work in their day - though in person is the best!

	Be well,

Beth R.
