[CRNMC] Jim Hightower fundraiser

Hi everyone,

I just heard back from Jim Hightower' secretary
responding to my invitation to come speak the same weekend that he will be
in Petaluma.  

He can only come to 1 venue; so we won't be
having the same event in 3 venues like we had with Swami Beyondananda, or
with Shannon and David.  I figure we have more activists on the
coast, so the Coast would be the preferable location.  

His secretary suggested that we do both a free admission big fundraiser
with silent auction, etc., AND an exclusive private reception with a high
admission fee.  

She said he needs a hotel room; he is
very private and will only stay at someone's house if there is a private
entrance to the area he will stay in.  She said sometimes hotels will
donate a room.  So if someone wants to start working on a donated
hotel room for September 27, go for it!  

She says he will
waive his usual $10,000 speaker fee, but we will have to pay his $500
administrative fee.  

I figure if we can raise $1200 at a
fundraiser, pay $100 for a hotel room, and pay Jim Hightower $500, we
would still have $600 left.  What do you think?
