> Y'all,
> Very big and exciting CR news today from the county where I went four times to teach over the past year, and then Kai Huschke (from CELDF) co-led a Democracy School fairly recently and then helped them with their draft ordinance. Today, Columbia County Sustainable Action for Green Energy officially filed with their county elections office their brand-spanking-new "Columbia County Sustainable Energy Future Ordinance" which would ban fossil fuel transport through the county, specifically oil and coal trains, and would recognize the rights of nature. The fossil fuel corporations have big plans for their county, and intend for it to become the newest major oil and coal export terminal to China.

> Primary mover and shaker, and Clatskanie resident and organic farmer Tracy Prescott-MacGregor told me earlier today that i first arrived in their county to introduce CR to a skeptical but desperate group of folks assembled in a living room exactly one year ago to this day. Isn't that cool?

> And here is their new website that I believe just went up today, and is not quite finalized yet for public viewing, but close enough to take an initial look:

> Yes we CAN stop oil and coal (and now propane!) trains from passing through our communities!
