I have been reading your posts for more than two decades. I was living in
Santa Cruz, CA when you came and spoke at our local credit union.
I wanted to inform you about the new community activism that is springing
up around the country. 160 separate U.S. communities. Have passed community
rights ordinances, asserting the authority of we the people over their own
communities. These ordinances assert that all power rests in the people.
They deny corporate personhood and rights. This effort is being led by
Global Exchange and the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF)
- celdf.org. I urge you to check out celdf's website and contact them. The
communities who have passed these ordinances range from Pennsylvania to
Colorado.
