I wonder if we should be stating that it contains rights for natural
communities and ecosystems. I think this may not be the case. My
understanding about The Rights of Nature is that we have to make a legal
distinction affirming that our ecosystems are not property as they are
viewed in common law, but are a rights bearing entity. Our ordinance does
not change this status. I recommend removing the last line under the
Affirms section.
Also we cannot be contacted by going to the FaceBook site. At the
current time it does not have any cohesive content. Some of us are working
on a website as we speak, and that can be added to the Flyer and the
Facebook site once we publish the website.
Other than that it looks really comprehensive for a simple half sheet.
Bravo.
If you hold off for a couple of days the website should be up.
