[Community Rights Network] About limiting contributions to $1000

Hello community rights and anti-fracking friends,

I have been having some misgivings about the notion that
we should be limiting contributions to $1000 or less. Yes,
I appreciate that we can get in under the limit for filing
certain paperwork, and our lives will be made easier if we
keep the total under $1000. But this seems to be a short-
term way to look at our effort. This is a tremendous and
very important effort, and it will cause the big guns at the
fracking companies to throw their high-priced talent at us,
with public relations, disinformation, and marketing tricks.
We need to open the spigots, we need to allow the public to
give to us, to support us, to get the best talent can hire
to counteract that public relation stuff, that disinformation,
and those marketing tricks. I suggest that we retain someone
who has been through this before, like Prajna, and perhaps
some other activist experts in marketing and public relations.
In order to be able to pay for this type of support, we will
need to be able to receive contributions far in excess of
$1000. Let's not let our concern about a little paperwork
prevent us from doing what's truly necessary to not only get
this on the ballot, but get it passed in November.

Let's be clear about who the treasurer is, and what their job
will be, and I would be pleased to help define that role.
Such paperwork would be submitted typically by the treasurer.

In general, I believe it would be helpful if we identified
a few other critical roles, such as media point person. This
will help focus the work, and expedite communications.

In community,
