Tim,

I hope this will clear up a basic misunderstanding between you and Peter 
about the recent emails.  When you were checking by phone to see if 
there had been a virus, you asked Peter "Did you receive an e-mail from 
Scott Menzies around this time?" and he said to you "That sounds about 
right."  He was not in any way saying that the e-mail sounded right, or 
that he disagreed or agreed with any of it; he was simply stating that 
receiving the email about three days earlier sounded about right.  From 
what you said later, and what you said on the phone conference today, it 
seems that you assumed he was saying the email content was about right.  
He was not.

I guess that is why you believed that you had established the facts, and 
were then shocked when Peter said specific statements in the email were 
not true.

As I said on the telephone, this is not an issue any more; Peter has 
sent emails saying that he feels Scott has a lot to contribute, is a 
welcome addition.  Caitlin also sent such an e-mail, saying Scott is 
ready now and able to make positive contributions.

Therefore, that issue is closed.
