[Community Rights Network] New Law Soon in the U.K.: Fracking on Private Property - No Permission Required

Hi all, 


You may already fracking on private property already exists here in the US
without permission ­ its all about the mineral rights under your property
(property goes about 200 feet below ground.  The courts have ruled that the
mineral rights (which in CA are often already gone at the turn of the last
century) are superior to property rights.

I thought I would share a couple of resources you might find helpful

1) Little video (no talking, just photos) we made that frames community
rights, farming water & fracking pretty well for your purposes in Mendocino,
you can use it, and if Doug knows how to lop off the Global Exchange part at
the end of the video, you are welcome to ³steal² it.

2) A primer on fracking ­ these are slides I presented to an International
Tribunal in Ecuador this year.  The slides show fracking as a violation of
the rights of nature ­ and have good facts on water, air, soil, earthquakes,
farms, mineral estates, health, etc. If you want to see my (very nervous)
presentation of these slides, I will forward, but I thought the factoids and
photos would be of interest and takes about 2 minutes to breeze through:
