[Community Rights Network] crn Digest, Vol 2, Issue 20

If the response letter had just said, "yes, there were prerequisites and
they were there for an important reason, so that we could all be on the
same page, and so we are now asking Scott to review the material and get
caught up on the information so that he can join us", that would have been
a way of addressing my legitimate concerns and also allow Scott to
participate.
Instead, it accused me, indirectly, of having fallen into hierarchical,
autocratic thinking ......incorrectly stating that Scott had been welcomed
by Peter and Shannon, which Peter says did not happen (and now, Scott says
he had the wrong email address for Peter), downplaying the prerequisite as
just a "request by a speaker" which is also untrue, and not addressing my
contact with Scott in the days before the last day of Democracy School.
In addition, a few days before the letter was posted I requested that the
Coordinator's Network (formerly Steering) view the letter first. Another
person requested to see it also (so has to be in a better position to
discuss it with people as responses and questions flowed in) and also that
it be posted after the ordinance was filed with the county to avoid
distraction. There was no response to these requests, apparently it was not
up for discussion, and it was simply posted the very next morning.
