Another request for help.

yes, these are not community rights ordinances per se

at the same time, they are doing their best to preserve community rights to clean water.

>> Your state senator hasn't yet coauthored SB 1132, the fracking moratorium bill. Call to urge Senator Noreen Evans that it's urgently important to show public support for the bill.

>> Dear BC,
>>
>> California's fracking boom is underway and, if we don't stop it soon, it will do massive damage to our state and the climate.
>>
>> Senator Holly Mitchell and Senator Mark Leno wrote SB 1132, a strong fracking moratorium that would stop fracking in California. The bill is picking up momentum, but your senator, Noreen Evans, hasn't signed on as a co-author yet.
>>
>> 2,209 CREDO activists in Senator Evans's district have already submitted letters of support for SB 1132 -- now we need to turn up the heat by flooding the senator's office with calls.
>>
>> Call Sen. Evans: Coauthor the fracking moratorium bill. Click here for a sample script and the number to call.
>>
>> Since December, the fracking industry has submitted more than 250 applications to use fracking and other extreme extraction techniques in California -- and, with every month that passes without a moratorium on fracking, the oil industry is receiving permission to frack dozens more wells.
>>
>> In short, fracking is already harming communities in California. And if we don't act soon, things will get much, much worse.
>>
>> The more senators sign on as coauthors early in the legislative session, the better SB 1132's chances of passing are. Please make a call today and urge your senator to publicly support the bill.
