Hello Region 4 Directors,

 

I hope you have recovered from Monterey and are getting mentally prepared for Sacramento. The Spring conference commences April 27th, with a Leg Day on the 29th. Your AEs are discussing with your AOR board about gathering new participants to the informative and enlightening Leg Day. Your current Asst Region Chair is deep into planning a fantastic Leg Day experience, thank you Pippin.

 

The Spring meeting is where we also will nominate and elect the 2027 Assistant Regional Chair.  Nomination process from the Procedures Manual is added below. You will need authorization from your AOR. 

 

 

We will have two pre-conference Zoom calls for Region 4 :

Friday, April 3 at 1pm, which will include Leg Day planning and training, 2nd half of call. 

Tuesday, April 21, 4pm, which will focus on legislative updates.

NOMINATION & ELECTION OF THE ASSISTANT REGIONAL CHAIR FOR REGION IV

While C.A.R. does not recognize the Assistant Regional Chair as a Director but has left the decision

as to whether or not to have an Assistant Regional Chair to each Region; Region IV has elected to

have an Assistant Regional Chair who will automatically become the Regional Chair the following

year. The current Regional Chair shall invite all State Association Directors (including

Board/Association Presidents, Directors-at-Large, and Honorary Directors) to a Regional meeting to

select the Assistant Regional Chair.

The C.A.R. Directors from Region IV shall annually elect an Assistant Regional Chair. The Assistant

Regional Chair shall hold a current REALTOR® or REALTOR® Associate membership in a

board/association within the Region and shall have had a minimum of two years active service at

the State level, either as a State Director or State Committee member. The candidate must be a

Past Association President.

Nominees must have extensive state level experience and awareness of current affairs. The

Assistant Regional Chair Nominee shall have the support of their local Association since they will

serve as their staff will also serve as staff for the Assistant Regional Chair and Regional Chair

during their terms. See attached Assistant Regional Chair application and resolution that must be

approved by the Local Association and submitted with nomination to Regional Chair, no later than one

week prior to the second C.A.R. Business meeting of the year.(due 12pm on April 20, 2026)

 

Resolution

Whereas the (name) Association of REALTORS® certifies that

___________________ (name) has met the qualifications established by Region 4 to

serve as the Region 4 Assistant Regional Chair in (2027) and the Regional

Chair in (2028 ),

Whereas the (name) Association of REALTORS® acknowledges it will

provide the administrative resources to ( ) as Region 4 Regional

Chair in (2028) so he/she may compete all of the Regional Chair duties established by

Region 4

Whereas the (name) Association of REALTORS® will send either a

staff member or volunteer to each C.A.R meeting during the year serves as

Region 4 Regional Chair to provide on-site assistance to (name)

Therefore be it resolved that the (name) Association of REALTORS®

verifies that (name) is eligible to run for the position of Region 4

Assistant Regional Chair in (2027) and to move up to Regional Chair in

( 2028).
