      I wanted to let you know of an incredible event happening at the Mendocino Art Center this weekend: Native Arts Expo (www.nativeartsexpo.com) on Friday 24<sup>th</sup> & Saturday 25<sup>th</sup> from 10-4.  </div>

      Step into a world where tradition meets innovation, and where stories are woven into every brushstroke, bead, and rhythm. The Native Arts Expo is a vibrant celebration of indigenous creativity like no other. </div>

      It's a free event, although, bring your money along so you can purchase art and wares from a diverse array of native indigenous people from around the county and beyond! There will be artisan booths, workshops, storytelling, dances and more!</div>

      Then come out to Jug Handle Creek Nature Center on Sunday evening at 7PM to this month's Sacred Flame: Fireside Indigenous Storytelling Series featuring Chunn Carrillo.  Apparently, he will be dancing at the expo on Saturday afternoon.  He is a young

 regalia maker, teacher and storyteller from the Point Arena Band of Pomo Indians.</div>

      I think in these times, it's important to get out to gatherings + offerings that allow us to come together and be with each other.  In this case, expand our awareness of the diversity of the people whose ancestors' history is woven into the fabric of

 our beautiful landscapes.</div>
