the plum blossoms are covering the trees like snow <br><br>

the rohdedemdrum is drumming with pink <br><br>

the lilyā€™s….!<br><br>

I had almost forgotten<br><br>

their long emerald stems unfurling <br><br>

caressing the dawn of new light -<br><br>

the tease of their white shoulders<br><br>

revealing the curl of a promise<br><br>

Look ……<br>

the bursting bouquet of  trumpets<br><br>

blowing pearly notes of silent beauty<br><br>

humming the daffodils awake<br><br>

singing praises with the tulips<br><br>

<br>

Did you inhale<br><br>

the miracle of fragrance?<br><br>

<br>

Or were you too busy -<br><br>

too hurried….<br><br>

distracted by your list <br><br>

or your screen<br><br>

maintaining what you think<br><br>

or defining who you are…āā€¦<br><br>

was it the news<br><br>

or the sound of other humans<br><br>

brain washing each other,  <br><br>

that eclipsed the chatter of the quail<br><br>

and the soulful swoop of the ravenā€™s<br><br>

wings flying over with a message?<br><br>

Did you miss it? <br><br>

<br>

the flash of inspiration<br><br>

the igniting of a creative idea<br><br>

the directive to call that person<br><br>

of finally forgive that other?<br><br>

<br>

were you hooked instead by commentaries <br><br>

contradicting<br><br>

and kid napping arguments<br><br>

and the conditioned need<br><br>

to justify a bad mood, there are endless<br><br>

ways to kick the ground.<br><br>

Look. <br><br>

<br>

This is the time of tenderness.<br><br>

These are a rare and delicate few days<br><br>

when the blossoms are so full<br><br>

and the invitation to return to <i>your </i>true nature<br><br>

is dotting the landscape like an impressionist painting<br><br>

<br>

Did you rsvp…..have you checked the in-box of your heart?<br><br>

There is a vulnerability calling you<br><br>

Have you dared to even notice<br><br>

what is there through<br><br>

this window of opportunity?<br><br>

<br>

Catch it<br><br>

before the wild wind of the world<br><br>

or the deluge of radical rain<br><br>

rips the new petals from their stems<br><br>

wilted and torn<br><br>

littered and buried across the tall grass<br><br>

Take a moment -<br><br>

donā€™t forget to look in the mirror <br><br>

of your own mystery<br><br>

shiny through the landscape <br><br>

of each new dawn. <br><br>

This is the time of awakening, <br><br>

taste the rain on your tongue, <br><br>

feel <br><br>

yourself<br><br>

as blossom,<br><br>

innocent as the presence of a newborn<br><br>

open as the new light<br><br>

Donā€™t forget -<br><br>

splash in the puddles<br><br>

pick daisies, plant seeds, <br><br>

go barefoot and hug a tree.<br><br>

take down your trombone<br><br>

follow the wild idea<br><br>

budding in your heart<br><br>

See how each<br><br>

season informs the next<br><br>

how important <br><br>

it is to belong -  <br><br>

to be a part of the next possibility<br><br>

to make love to this world<br><br>

just as it is<br><br>

<br>

Inseminate your  presence<br><br>

into the dark cosmic egg<br><br>

with the fertility of your vision<br><br>

<br>

What do you want to begin?<br><br>

What is your yearning <br><br>

that only you can birth <br><br>

into this NEW WORLD<br><br>

even <br><br>

AS IT IS GIVING BIRTH TO US.  <br><br>

Donā€™t let the judgements or opinions<br><br>

or the gossip<br><br>

or the fear, or the past, <br><br>

or the anger or finger pointing<br><br>

or the worst case scenario in your mind <br><br>

Its spring<br><br>

This has always been the season of promise and awakening <br><br>

It's happening for us<br><br>

not to us, <br><br>
