<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><font size="4">Greetings, Fellow Spirit Expressors!  </font><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><font size="4">I want to share with everyone how excited and honored I am to be one of two featured readers this Saturday at the </font><span style="font-size:large">Mendocino Open Mic Poetry S</span><span style="font-size:large">eries: </span></div><div><font size="4"><br></font><div><span style="font-size:large">Where:  Mendocino Art center, Stevenson Studio</span><br style="font-size:large"><span style="font-size:large">When: 4-6 pm Saturday, March 29th</span><font size="4"></font></div><div><span style="font-size:large"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size:large">The series will begin with two featured poets, Ed Balldinger and David Partch, followed </span><span style="font-size:large">by a brief break and then an open mic </span><span style="font-size:large">for anyone willing to share their work or the work of others</span><span style="font-size:large">.  </span><span style="font-size:large">This event is free and donations are </span><span style="font-size:large">welcome to help cover the cost of room rental.</span></div><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><font size="4">I ho</font><span style="font-size:large">pe to see everyone there who can make it.</span><span style="font-size:large"> </span></div><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><span style="font-size:large"></span><font size="4">~ Ed Balldinger<br><br><br><u>Ed Balldinger Bio</u><br><br>Music has been an enormous guide in Ed's life, coming in the shape<br>notes of church acapella singing, songs on transistor and antique<br>radios, and cousins who were instrumentalists, songwriters, and singers. </font></div><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><font size="4">Ed has co-written, co-produced, played instruments and sung on 11<br>musical albums with 2 groups, the WNGC and the Mood Groove, consisting<br>of exceptionally talented musicians in the Sacramento area over the past<br>45 years.  He's been recording music since 1980.</font></div><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><font size="4">Ed self-published his only book of poetry to date in 2009 called,<br>"From Cavity's Kitchen to the Bone Comber's Home."  He has had poems<br>published in these Cold River Press anthologies: Quiet Rooms 2020;<br>Voices 2022: Fantasies, Demons & Lovers; Voices 2023: Dahlias, Gods &<br>Mermaids; and Voices 2024: Anomalies, Pathologies & Paradise, D.R.<br>Wagner Memorial Issue.  Ed will have more of his work included in the<br>upcoming anthology of Voices 2025: Mysticism, Prophecies & Marigolds. <br>Many of Ed's poems written over the past 20 years can be found on this<br>site: <a href="https://allpoetry.com/Balldinger" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://allpoetry.com/Balldinger</a>.</font></div><div><font size="4"><br></font></div><div><font size="4">Ed is currently working on a collection of his recent poetry which<br>will be published and available in both written and spoken form upon<br>completion sometime in 2025.  Last, but not least, Ed and JK Northrup (2<br>of the WNGC and the Mood Groove dudes) will be releasing a compilation<br>album of the best WNGC and Mood Groove songs from the past 28 years by<br>the middle of 2025.  Ed can be contacted by email at <a href="mailto:balldinger@gmail.com" target="_blank">balldinger@gmail.com</a></font></div></div></div>
