I’ve asked repeatedly for a copy of the 1991 THP that they pulled and it is not forthcoming. I’ve finally figured out how to get a no-charge copy of the THP if anybody cares to read through part or all. Instructions below... You can simply search for that term and it will take you to the site. Once there, they lay some cute little traps that I’ll help folks avoid. At the main page, you’ll see two big white boxes, entitled “Everyone” and “Registered.” You can avoid registering and simply click on the tab in the white box that says, “Search Plans.” That takes you to what looks like a crazy and somewhat complicated page entitled, “Search for Records.” Now, I made the mistake of trying to enter data for all of their five boxes. And I also entered the THP # along with the standard suffix of “MEN” for Mendocino. That screws up the search. Just go to the Document Number box and type in: 1-20-00168. Forget everything else there. Click the “Search” button and you’ll get either 3 results of records (shown at bottom of screen) or, if the computer likes you, I’ve had as much as 10 show up. Huge swath of JDSF across the road from you. Apparently a similar one was prepared but never filed about 20 years ago. Not sure if community pressure stopped that one or not. CDF’s forester Julia Rhoads has been rather coy and unresponsive about questions on this subject, especially the prior THP that was pulled. Your thoughts? Think the MC community can rise up or will want to?
