By expanding people’s access to water, sanitation, and hygiene, increasing demand for these services, and strengthening the governance of local water systems, this program aims to improve living conditions and reduce the incidence of waterborne disease by 25% in three local government areas in Haiti.<br>

Congratulations to the two finalists:</p>
<ul>
<li><a href="https://msgfocus.rotary.org/c/14BxOnT9ykfSX3Kzz6F3qR9XBvX4giH"><strong>Home Management of Malaria in Papua New Guinea</strong></a> aims to reduce cases of malaria and improve community health for 500,000 people by training 2,100 community malaria volunteers so they can diagnose and treat people at home in more than 1,000 villages in Papua New Guinea. </li>
<li><a href="https://msgfocus.rotary.org/c/14BxOnYpKIWAEnMFnZ7RTLVMRgSp5Ys"><strong>Empowering Highland Communities in Thailand</strong></a> aims to transform 126 villages inhabited by highland peoples by establishing community-owned water and sanitation systems and strengthening community-based enterprises centered on coffee cultivation, livestock production, and traditional crafts.</li>

You’re considering what to name the project and how to brand it. We have answers for you. The <strong><a href="https://msgfocus.rotary.org/c/14BxOo8W9wk031QR1K3uPBtrmMJ4LjY">Rotary Code of Policies</a></strong> guides us in using Rotary’s name correctly. Essentially, you can’t use just Rotary’s name in naming a project. Doing so could imply that the project is Rotary’s. Instead, choose a name that describes the project. For example, if it’s a clinic for children in Springfield, call it Springfield Children’s Clinic. Note that the Foundation cannot issue additional funds to cover increased costs or currency fluctuations. If the rate used in your submitted application differs significantly from the current month’s rate, your application will likely need to be returned to draft form to allow you to update the exchange rate, the grant budget, and the funding accordingly. Make sure you’ve used the current exchange rate before you submit your application to avoid significant delays in processing your application.</p>

At first, I supported the Bequest Society. Four years ago, I entered the wonderful world of District Designated Funds (DDF) as the SHARE specialist.<br>
<br>
My job requires me to manage the DDF transfer process and policy updates. I spend a lot of my time talking with district leaders to answer questions about DDF. I also help review DDF reports and process DDF transfers. What district leaders might not know is how I collaborate with other Rotary staff teams. I work closely with Grants, Finance, and Communications to ensure that reporting is accurate, grant budgets are updated, and communications are localized for our global audience.<br>
<br>
The best part of my role is being connected to districts worldwide. Our donors have entrusted the Foundation to spend these funds, and our districts do the hard work of planning and implementing projects.</p>
