After 'minor' surgery last month, I've had a wee setback. We think my surgeon may have left a hockey stick (or some odd object) in when she sutured me up. I am being held in bondage here until they can transport me to a real hospital, probably UCSF. They say that may take 2-3 days and then some manner of gut surgery. Ergo, this Thursday, at best, is iffy. Mr. Wade sends his regrets. More later.

I hope you all enjoyed a lovely weekend soaking up this beautiful spring weather! What a wonderful time of year to live on the North Coast full of renewal, color, and community.

Please mark your calendars for this Thursday’s Rotary meeting. We’re excited to welcome Ryan Rhoades, Supervisor of the Mendocino City Community Services District (MCCSD), who will be sharing insights on the “State of the Water” here in Mendocino.

MCCSD recently announced the award of a $14.96 million grant to upgrade and expand our recycled water system. Which is a major step forward for our community’s sustainability. Their mission focuses on treating our wastewater efficiently and managing groundwater resources responsibly. This promises to be an informative and timely presentation.... a perfect meeting to invite friends and community members to attend.

I've attached the meeting agenda for your reference.

And finally, a big SHOUT OUT to John Cottle for his outstanding work as Club Services Chair and for constructing our beautiful new flagpoles!
