<span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The District 5130 Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for District Governor for the 2024-2025 Rotary year.</span></span></span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">While we understand that not every Rotarian is interested in being a District Governor, this announcement is being sent to all 5130 Rotarians to ensure all qualified applicants have an opportunity to apply and to make all 5130 Rotarians aware of the process. In addition, even if you yourself are not interested at this time, it allows you to encourage good candidates to apply.</span></span></span><br>

<span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The District Governor is the official officer of Rotary International in the district. The Governor is responsible for administering the district and motivating and supporting Rotary clubs and Rotarians. For a complete description of the duties, please refer to the attached District Governor’s Manual.</span></span></span><br>

<span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The minimum requirements to apply are:</span></span></span>
<ul>
<li style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Must have been a member of Rotary for at least seven years by the start of the Governor term (July 1, 2024)</span></span></span></li>
<li style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Must have completed a full year of service as a Rotary Club President</span></span></span></li>
</ul>

<span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Previous knowledge and involvement in Club and District 5130 activities helps the prospective Governor be better prepared to serve.</span></span></span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Rotary International and our Rotary Zone provide three weeks of intense training over the two and a half years between selection and the beginning of the Governor term. In addition, all the resources and support of the District 5130 Board of Directors and the Past District Governors are available to make sure Governors are fully prepared to take office.</span></span></span><br>

<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">To apply, the prospective applicant’s <span style="background:yellow">CLUB</span> must nominate the applicant and submit the attached nomination form to the Nominating Committee Chair. </span></b></span></span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The club nominee must also submit a Rotary Resume. You may use the attached template or use your own, as long as it covers the same elements. </span></b></span></span></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">After the deadline for nominations, each nominee will receive an appointment time for the interview, currently expected to be a Zoom Videoconference.</span></b></span></span></li>
