<html><head></head><body><div class="ydpc8053ca1yahoo-style-wrap" style="font-family:Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Dear Mendocino Rotarians, Fort Bragg Rotarians through Gary Champlin and Port Vila Rotarians through Asok Kumar:</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">On Wednesday 22 September I and David Foris, the International Comittee Chair of Katikati Rotary, had a talk about our boundary fence project with the Victory School of Hope in Vanuatu. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">David and his team are, as we are, determined to complete the project this year, and to that end have (i) sent US$3150 of club funds to Vanuatu, (ii) pledged US$3150 in members' funding and (iii) applied for a district grant for US$3,500, a total of about US$9,800 which with the $4,300 supplied by ourselves plus the $2,000 supplied by Fort Bragg (a total of US$16,100 from our three clubs) should bring the project close to completion this year. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">In light of their very substantial committment to the project and in the expectation that they will commit more if and when they receive district funding, we agreed that Katikati will become the lead club going forward, handling correspondence with Port Vila Rotary and the School.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">We talked about the project going forward, and agreed that both clubs are happy with the construction standards and procedures presently in effect, that no substantial changes in scope were expected, and that we would continue to keep each other informed and cooperate fully to get this project completed. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">This is provided for information to our members, and for discussion if so wished. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">It is a positive development, that will lift some of the burden from ourselves, reflect our partnership which is long standing and expedite the implementation of the project aiming at completion this year. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Today Katikati is helping us transfer funds to Port Vila, another way that we work closely together on this project.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Cheers, </div><div><br></div><div class="ydpc8053ca1signature">Jeff Stubbs</div><div class="ydpc8053ca1signature" dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">International Committee Chair</div><div class="ydpc8053ca1signature" dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Rotary Club of Mendocino<br>P.O.
