<html><head></head><body><div class="ydp2d961d9fyahoo-style-wrap" style="font-family:Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Hi all,</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">We had a very good meeting last week, instructive I think for all of us and with a highpoint being Gary Hopper's presentation of Rotary Foundation rationale, activities and giving, which in turn motivated those who attended to commit funds. This was led by Jesse Martin's generous contribution which was matched by Ray Alarcon and others. We also kicked off the golf tournament and talked about upcoming events.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">We will continue to focus on club activities during the rest of this month, with next week's regular meeting being based (I hope) upon presentations by the three avenue of service committee chairs and co-chairs--Youth, Community and International. The purpose of these is not to check up but to communicate to all the club what is being done in each.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">The following week we will have a Board meeting at which the Board should decide on any proposed adjustments in our spending.
