<div dir="ltr"><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr">This is my most recent press release:<br><div><br></div><div>One more Sherwood Oaks resident, now totaling six, and one more employee, our third, were diagnosed with Covid Wednesday. They were tested before they developed symptoms, so a limited number of other persons were exposed to varying degrees while we waited 5 days for test results. Such wait times are now commonplace. Those who had significant exposure have been isolated, and are being monitored closely, as none yet have symptoms. </div><div><br></div><div>Due to the very limited number of staff willing to work in the isolation area, Adventist Hospital Mendocino Coast generously agreed to accept two of our Covid positive residents. The hospital had already designed an area specifically for the purpose of caring for Covid patients. The cooperative spirit between the two facilities is great for our community.</div><div><br></div><div>The one person previously reported as gravely ill has stabilized, though not improved. The other eight have relatively mild symptoms, only one requiring oxygen. The staff of Sherwood Oaks are working hard to protect the health of their residents, their colleagues, and thereby our entire community.</div><div><br></div><div>John Cottle DO</div></div>
