<html><head></head><body><div class="ydpe2d97282yahoo-style-wrap" style="font-family:Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Hi all, </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Attached is the really excellent District 5130 report on Rotary's fast-growing support for coronavirus mitigation, and what it could mean for our club:</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">-$500 available now, preceded by a brief report to the Grants Chair Dan Balfe (which I think I can do)</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">-Funding next year for district grants through the usual channels for coronavirus mitigation efforts and </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">-up to $25,000 for disaster relief efforts related to the coronavirus pandemic. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">There is an excellent framework for investigating what our club can do.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">We decided at our meeting of 4/9/2020 to form a committee to look into it. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">People who I saw with raised hands wishing to serve on the committee were Pam, Mike, Jerry and Jesse. <span style="font-size: 16px;">If anyone else would like to join the committee please let Mike or one of the other committee members know.</span></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">It would be good if the committee could meet fairly soon, to put some ideas on the table and ensure we can put together a district grant request if that is what we want to do.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">A district grant is typically $2,000-$2,500 and a club can have two but with the same total funding. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">So one could see as district grant options for next year a new or repaired scoreboard for our local schools, and/or a coronavirus mitigation project.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Everyone should read the report which is excellent. </div><div><br></div><div class="ydpe2d97282signature">Jeff Stubbs<br>P.O.
