Hi

Good Morning District 5130 Presidents:

A report from the Pedal 4 Polio riders

We are currently in Willits about to start our 5th day of riding, which will take us into Cloverdale this afternoon.
Then on Saturday, the final day's ride into Petaluma.

Honesty Time - We started last Monday in Crescent City, and have already ridden over two hundred miles and climbed a lot of hills, and have been hosted by the wonderful Rotarians in the North part of our District. And yes, we are having a great time in doing this.

But all of this effort of the riders and the clubs along the way is for naught if EACH and EVERY Rotarian in the district does not contribute at least $35 to Pedal for Polio (10 cents per mile for 350 miles)

So I'm asking you and some of your Rotarians...either your directors, or others, to do a telephone tree and CALL on the TELEPHONE, each and every member of your club who has not donated and get them to commit to this effort.

This is where the rubber meets the road folks. Make all our work and effott meaningrul.

Our goal is $84,000...We are at about $50,000 now. We need that extra final push to make it happen.

Keep me informed of your progress please...we will be announcing our progress at the big party being put on by the Petaluma Clubs and Rancho Cotati and Rohnert Park Cotati at Lucchesi Park. Come join us 11am to 3pm this Saturday.

Thanks for all you do.

Gotta go...time to get on the freeway and ride...

Bob
