I walked down to the store and asked about a job. Mr. Shipley said nothing was available and reported that to my aunt. Aunt Mildred, who had 9 children starting at age 14, told me that Mr. Shipley had a job but wanted to make sure that I really wanted it.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">As a result, I visit the store and asked about a job 9 times before I was finally hired. That life lesson paid off in 1983 when McKesson Corp. (#4 on the Fortune 100 service companies) rejected my application as national PR manager. Since I knew I had the exact qualifications, I persisted and ultimately, got the job.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">This is what I'm talking about: life lessons we all can share with others.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Please take a few minutes and share you secrets to a successful career.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Best Regards,</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Bruce Lewis</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">PS - Please send your responses to heather and me: <a href="mailto:h_paulsen21@hotmail.com" class="">h_paulsen21@hotmail.com</a>, <a href="mailto:blewis16@me.com" class="">blewis16@me.com</a></div></body></html>
