Ale Festival Fundraiser Set for Saturday, Nov. 8<o:p></o:p></b></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b>FORT BRAGG,
California</b> – With a goal of raising more than $20,000 for five charities,
including three in Fort Bragg, planning is now underway for the 9<sup>th</sup>
Annual Wine, Mushroom and Ale Festival. The Festival, sponsored by St.
Anthony’s Catholic Church in Mendocino, will be held from noon to 4 pm
Saturday, November 8, at Parish Hall, 10600 Lansing Street.</p><p class="MsoNormal">You can reserve tickets (no upfront payment required) by
calling 937-2406. Tickets will also
be available at the door.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Beneficiaries of this year’s fundraiser are <a href="http://www.fortbraggfoodbank.org/home/our_partners">The Fort Bragg Food
Bank</a>, the <a href="http://mccf.info">Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund</a>,
the <a href="http://www.mendocinochc.org">Hospitality House</a> and <a href="http://rcscenter.org">Redwood Coast Senior Center</a> in Fort Bragg and
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Mendocino. “Each group will receive several
thousand dollars as in past years,” said Festival Coordinator John Innes.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Like last year, there will be wine tasting, a mushroom soup
contest, mushroom d’oeuvres, cheese sampling, olive oil sampling, and silent
and live auctions.</p><p class="MsoNormal">New to the tasting menu this year will be microbrews.</p><p class="MsoNormal">The St. Anthony’s Mushroom Festival is part of the countywide
<a href="http://www.visitmendocino.com/mushroom-wine-and-beer-festival">Wine,
Mushroom and Beer Festival</a> Nov. 7-16 organized by Visit Mendocino.</p><p class="MsoNormal">“Last year, we offered fine local cheeses, pouring by 10
Anderson Valley Wineries, boutique olive oils, and lots of merchandise, trips,
wine baskets, and gift certificates in our auctions,” explained Innes. “Great
beers will be added to the menu.”</p><p class="MsoNormal">And, he noted: “we’ll have another mushroom soup competition
by local chefs. Of course, you’ll get to taste all of them and vote for your
