Matt Perelstein (Paula's husband) is the latest of our group to experience the kindness and skill of these great folks, and he recently showed them his chemo "port pillow" (which we use to protect our implanted chemo ports from the seatbelts on our cars). The folks at Redwood were very taken with the "pillow" and wondered if we would be willing to make some that they could give to other patients they care for.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Paula gave them the couple of extras that were on our storage shelves at Sew 'n Sew, but now we are completely out.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">We are hoping you will be willing to help us make some to send over to Redwood and to have for our own Oncology Clinic here at the hospital in Fort Bragg. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">They are easy to make - I've attached the instruction sheet. They require the following materials:</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">* a piece of fabric 4" x 13 1/2" (any cotton or flannel you have)<br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">* 4 pieces of Velcro 3 1/2" long (2 hook sides and 2 loop sides)</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">* a wad of poly fiberfill stuffing</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I'm going to make up some kits and will take them to Sew n Sew this week to put on our shelves in the storeroom. Paula will know where they are.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">If you can pitch in by making one or more, they will be greatly appreciated! You can drop them off for Paula at Sew n Sew and Matt will deliver to Ukiah.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div class="ydp5aef1ba3signature"><div style="font-family:Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><em>Sharon Lau</em></font></div><div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><em>707-937-3049</em></font></div><div dir="ltr"><em style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">QuiltKats@yahoo.com</em></div><div><br></div></div></div></div></body></html>
