<html><head></head><body><div class="ydp3c83a07dyahoo-style-wrap" style="font-family:Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Just to confirm what we discussed at yesterday's meeting:</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">On <b>Sew Sunday, September 22nd, starting at 11 a.m. at the Senior Center</b>, we will be having a work session to make the "favors" - log cabin quilt pins - for the Quilt Guilds of the North Quarter (QGNQ) meeting our guild is hosting on Saturday, October 26th. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">We have been told we might expect 60 or so people to attend the QGNQ meeting, so we have lots of pins to make! </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Our plan is to have kits all prepared for you to use. Each kit will contain instructions, the pre-cut wooden pin back, the pre-cut wooden strips and the self-stick safety clasp for the back of the pin. We will also have available markers to color the wood strips and glue to assemble all the pieces. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Your job will be to color and assemble the pins. You will not need to bring any supplies - just your enthusiasm and willingness to work! (Unless you would like to bring permanent colored markers - like Sharpies or any other alcohol-based marker. Each pin requires 7 colors - see attached. Traditionally, log cabin designs progress from light to dark - from the center out or the outside in. Some say a center yellow square represents a lighted window - others say a center red square represents the fireplace at the heart of the home. Some prefer an even darker center square - a deep blue or purple. It's up to you!)</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">We will have a sign-up sheet at the August general meeting so we will know how many tables and chairs to set up.
