<p class="ydp889db043MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span><span>1.<span style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: "Times New Roman";"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Cut
the frame strips about ¾” wide.<span> </span>Cut the contrasting
border strips however wide you want the border.</p>
<p class="ydp889db043MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span><span>2.<span style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: "Times New Roman";"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Place
the frame strip on the quilt with right sides together.<span> </span>Check to make sure that the narrow strip is
on top, wrong side up.<span> </span>Carefully match
the edges and accurately sew using a ¼” seam.</p>

than pressing the seam toward the frame, press the seam <b>toward the quilt</b> <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">(this is important)</span>.<span> </span>Sew on all four pieces.<span> </span>Press each frame strip <b>toward the quilt</b>.</div>

the quilt top wrong side up.<span> </span>Place the
border strip <b>underneath</b> the quilt top, right sides together, matching
the edges of the frame strip and border strip.</p>
<p class="ydp889db043MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span><span>5.<span style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: "Times New Roman";">
</span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Instead of using the right side of the presser
foot as your guide, use the <i>left side </i>of the presser foot.<span> </span>Butt the presser foot into the
sewn seam, against the line of stitching you created in Step 2.<span> </span>Sew your seam, then press toward the border
strip.<span> </span>Sew border strips on all four
sides.</p>

sewing on the border strip, you can re-press the seam between the quilt and the
frame strip towards the frame strip.<span>
</span>This can eliminate some bulk if your quilt top has a lot of seams in it.</p>
<div style="margin-left: 0.75in; text-align: justify;"><span><span>2.<span style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: "Times New Roman";"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->You
can also make a double border with the frame strip between the two parts of the
border.<span> </span>This way, when you press the
first seam of the frame strip toward the quilt, there isn’t any problem with
