There are only 23 days left til our December 13th meeting. If you would like to purchase tickets for a chance to win the raffle basket, the check needs to be at my house by December 11th, so please plan accordingly. They are as follows: 1 ticket for $1, 6 for $5, 15 for $10, 7 ft (34) tickets for $20, and a whopping 75 tickets for $40. Make checks out to Ocean Wave Quilters and mail to Tina Perry 44750 Raven Lane Mendocino CA. 95460. , you need not be present to win. Please know that this is a fundraiser for Ocean Wave Quilters. So far, the basket has 3 stacks of fat quarters, 5 black & white fabrics (2 of them seem like a yard each, I didn’t measure but they seem hefty), a quilt label panel, 4 books, 2 patterns, a quilters journal, a pack of charm squares, a magnifying ruler, a double diamond ruler, a notepad, ric-rac, a pin cushion, a jellyroll, a stack of orange batiks, a stack of blue batiks, a purse kit with fabric and pattern, some miscellaneous notions and the basket itself. I wanted these items to be a surprise, but since I have sold to only 4 people so far, I thought you might want to see what you would be winning ( or not winning if you don’t purchase any tickets). Also, I wanted to share a tip that I often use, If you happen to see quilt kit on sale for a really good price but don’t really care for the pattern, It may be worth the price for the amount and quality of the fabrics included. There is a bag kit in the basket, but if that’s not your thing, It has a substantial amount of very pretty fabric. There is no rule that you have to use that fabric to make the pattern that comes with it. Other items may be added from now until raffle time. Also, I want to remind everyone that the name tag drawing will be for those members that make a Holiday themed name tag, so if you have not already done so, get those creative juices flowing and make a name tag so that you can participate.
