The only comparable destruction in California history was the nineteenth century extermination campaign against tribal people. The Lytton Band of Pomo Indians show the redemptive power of love and forgiveness we so urgently need nationally and internationally for our very survival.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal> The need to convert from a nation in the thrall of a military-industrial complex draining our resources and killing our soul has become a survival need for us all, as we face the disasters unfolding at home. The tremendous outpouring of community support for fire victims is hopeful and heartening.
