acres of wilderness, 480 miles of wild and scenic rivers, and establishes a 700,000-acre South Fork Trinity-Mad River Special Restoration Area.</strong> These old growth forests, crystalline waters, hiking trails, and unique areas need to be protected within
the provisions of the Wilderness Act of 1964 to provide the strongest level of protection available for public land under American law. These designations will ensure the area's ecological and community benefits are preserved in perpetuity for future generations.
