<p>Present: John, Linda, Richard, Irene, Jeri, Ann, Will, Daniel, Carrie, Agnes, Todd, JoeAyers, John Fletcher, Joe from Hosp Hse.</p>
<p>- John reported on CASA meeting he attended; foster parents are needed and will be paid. Does O/M want to have a meeting w/prospective foster parents? The partners are Children's fund with Annie Liner and Laura Welter. We can be co-sponsors.</p>
<p>- Linda spoke about an event called "Walking the Migrant Trail" which is a 75 mile hike from Mexico across the desert to America. The date is 11/7 at the Casper Shul 7pm.</p>
<p>- Treasury: We have $1,322.23 savings in the Peace and Justice account, and $700 in checking. There is another Occupy account under Jesse's name with approx. $3,000 but we do not get statements. She pays the Sr. Center for our meetings every other month
or so, we can speak to Jesse about rolling over the money into the P&J account. Ann sent a check for $80 to pay for our domain name 2 years to keep our O/M website.</p>
<p>- MLK Day planning: Andy and Vicki absent, and probably cannot make Sat. meetings, but still want to lead panel, co-ordinate speakers, and find young people to be involved. We asked Ui Westerly to be M/C and Sherry Glaser can be a backup if needed. Carrie
will help organize the parade route ending with a circle at the Park. Richard will find musicians, sound system and Irene has Freedom Singers. Linda is contacting CCC, Americorps, Jeri & Will contacting schools, CV Starr Center will show Will's photos of black
Olympic winners 6 months. Food organizer Agnes, Kitchen Ann, Lorna, Pat, Dan. Will can make flyers when theme decided/ Jeri will post. John Fletcher will do KNYO live broadcast, outreach to radio KZYX.</p>
<p>- Joe brought up issue of homeless, and he is contacting Churches that agreed to be emergency shelters to set up extreme weather shelter on a volunteer basis, to make sure the Hospitality House doesn't just pay themselves off the top and deny people shelters
when the funds run low.</p>
<p>- Hwy cleanup is suspended for a couple of months while the weather is rainy and stormy. Bob is in the hospital with heart trouble (a card will go around to sign) and Sheila has not returned from New York.</p>
<p>- There was a disaster preparedness event in Casper after the wildfires inland. We are due for a big earthquake and will be on our own, so there were barrels of supplies available such as blankets, flashlights and batteries, water, etc for $100. zomaza@mcn.org

<p>- Calendar: John Fletcher had a list of events on a Master Calendar in Grass Valley and suggests we put one together so that things coming up are on our website and cut down on conflicting dates for events. John and Richard will find O/M master list.</p>
<p>- Joe Ayers brought some voter registration forms, Measure B is the only issue this time. There will be a meeting with police, social services and citizens on Tuesday 10/24 at Sr Center. This meeting will address shortcomings in the justice system that
is supposed to protect the vulnerable children and adults in our community and find solutions.</p>
<p>- On Nov 9 at 5:30 there is a Democrat Club meeting at the Harbor Lite Lodge and O/M can have a table with info.</p>
<p>- Bank Protests are still happening on Fridays in front of Wells Fargo 2-3 and Chase 3-4. Agnes brought up the reason for them being MERS, bank fraud with robosigning stealing peoples mortgages and illegally foreclosing on homes.</p>
<p>- Linda McClure wants us to find venues for David Barsamian, who will be coming to the Coast on tour in Dec.</p>
