We need to send a minimum of 500 emails to Tom in the next 13 days - or we will lose our chance to have the GP pond cleaned of toxic dioxins. Here’s my letter followed by Michael Comolino’s letter. When I see beautiful wildlife such as Canadian Geese, ducks and water fowl swimming in and drinking from the toxic pool of dioxins left behind by GP I’m angry that this problem has not been corrected by now. Tourists and residents walk the coastal trail and little do they know these extremely hazardous dioxins fill the nearby pond. Please see to it that the pond is cleaned and the toxins are removed. This is GP’s responsibility and should not be left as a burden on Fort Bragg in the heart of our coastal town. The currently toxic pond tarnishes our reputation as an environmentally conscious community and is a liability to our tourism, the health of coastal residents and our wildlife.

Thank you,
Laurie York
37 Year Coastal Resident

By City Councilman Michael Cimolino.
