<div class=""><span class="" style="font-size:14px">Last night at the DTSC meeting, Tom Lanphar stated clearly that we need an informative letter writing campaign to help DTSC formulate a strong response to G-P’s proposals for the mill pond and the south ponds.
We must state, over and over, that "we do not accept" the G-P proposal. "Community Acceptance" is supposed to be central to the CalEPA criteria. </span></div>

<div class=""><span class="" style="font-size:14px">Can we get thousands of e-mails sent to Tom by August 15th? Perhaps from far and wide - not just the coastal community? </span><span class="" style="font-size:14px">This could be crucial in effecting the best
possible outcome. Can we use social media to promote an e-mail effort? </span><span class="" style="font-size:14px"> </span><span class="" style="font-size:14px">This isn’t all we need to do, but it could be crucial in effecting the best possible outcome.</span><span class="" style="font-size:14px"> Tom
has to formulate the DTSC response to G-P’s Draft Feasibility Study by the end of August. This DTSC response will be sent to G-P to consider, or reject or just dither around with. </span></div>

<div class=""><span class="" style="font-size:14px">NOW is the time to make our positions clear. This is analogous to the question of gaining “standing” in an EIR. If we wait for many months, it will be too late. This long delay</span><span class="" style="font-size:14px"> is
G-P’s prerogative, and probably they will take as long as they can. We learned last night it could be as long as nine months,</span><span class="" style="font-size:14px"> but then w</span><span class="" style="font-size:14px">e will be told, “why didn’t you
come forward with these issues sooner?” Totally disingenuous, but this is just what they will do. Never mind that they have delayed this process in every imaginable way for 15 years!</span></div>
