<p>Present: Will, John, Agnes, Irene, Barbara, Sheila, Richard, Ann, Bob, Daniel, Linda, Nancy.</p>
<p>Meeting called to order 12:10 at Sr Center.</p>
<p>- History of Peace and Justice shared by John. There was a Membership app that asked for a donation, so we could have $$ for renting a office space. O/M could form a coalition with other Non-Profit groups so we have a presence in town and the people to
keep it staffed. Need a committee and if we had an office space we could be more effective.</p>
<p>- Millsite Cleanup meeting Thursday Feb 2, Town Hall from 3-5 Open House with DTSC staff, followed by Council Meeting at 6pm. Ann, Irene, Jinx, Barbara going - we need to fill the Hall and bring all questions about Millpond cleanup, Creek daylighting (Maple
Creek and Alder Creek), the "Comfort Letter" between DTSC and the City re: connecting the Coastal Trail before Millpond cleanup, whether the Dam will be removed, etc.</p>
<p>- MLK Event was our best ever! We had 165 on our March, and the drummers were great. Signs were excellent, and due to good Promos there were a lot of people there. The Panel before lunch was good, all young (and old) women speaking about racial justice
and Standing Rock. CCC was very helpful with cleanup, we got good donations in our buckets, there was enough food to go around, the music and entertainment were wonderful, and we met expenses. Will Beaumont's display on the walls of the Hall were striking
and very much appreciated. At the Raffle we gave away 3 Occupy Hats and 2 T-Shirts. We will donate $100 to Trinity Church and send out thank-you notes to our volunteers and donors. There was a burn in a tabletop so Richard is looking into replacing the
formica top. Things we could do better - No people of color were there but Daniel, we did not focus on the Dream of MLK, we need to see what topic to focus on later in the year when events unfold, the kitchen helpers need a coordinator, have some questions
prepared for the panel instead of just having them "wing it", put program papers on tables, get bread from Ft Bragg Bakery earlier so it thaws.</p>
<p>- Women's March in Fort Bragg on Jan 21 was amazing - crowd was estimated at 2,800 due to good planning and social media getting the word out. Linda Jupiter and Susan Nutter promoted it with ads, flyers, facebook, etc. We marched to Eagle's Hall for a
program and songs, lots of men and children joined, it was happening in big cities all over this Country and abroad with lots of women wearing pink hats and carrying signs. Agnes says go google "Impeach Donald Trump.org" to sign a petition that addresses
his conflicts of interest in profiting from Foreign Governments and his guilt in Fraud cases in litigation. He also is colluding with Russia, in spite of sanctions America has against Russia for human rights violations and invasions of Ukraine and Crimea.</p>
<p>- Nancy spoke about a group "Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics" group going after the Emoluments Clause in the Constitution which Trump has broken by taking money from Foreign Governments and leaders.</p>
<p>- Justice Democrats - This is a group of Bernie supporters who are very progressive to stand up to Trump. They tell how to mobilize people. There is a group led by Vivien La Mothe who has the Weller House and she brought together around 30 people called
'Mendo Coast Together' with the Indivisible group that spun off from the Bernie Movement.

<p>- Agnes says the Coast Democrats meet at the Harbor Lite on Feb 15th, we could ask them if they want to join with us in a storefront, also ask Churches and Synagogues.

<p>- Everyone should be willing to do some small duty for Occupy. Irene will do P/R, Ann takes notes and sends minutes a lot, we take turns running meetings, Dan posts on Facebook for us. Call your Congressman daily by calling 212-224-3221 and speak up on
issues!</p>
<p>- Sheila gave a book report about the Tea Party organizers and why Trump was able to plug into their fears and anger about taxation, fear of Government and Religion to spur his movement. It also has to do with jobs, the Environment and our slow economy.
Too many progressives discount Trump supporters.</p>
<p>- May Day is about Labor, also Cinco de Mayo, a hispanic holiday about Mexican Independence. We will plan an event at a later meeting.</p>
<p>- History of P&J - Sheila has an article published in the AVA about KZYX and the new General Manager.</p>
<p>- There is concern about the Standing Rock water protectors now that Trump wants to go ahead with the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Keystone XXL Pipeline, but these projects are financed by Trump and his Cabinetmembers, a direct conflict of interest. PBS
is now threatened as well. John says to fight Trump we must Unify. Nancy New says there is a new Governor in North Dakota, so flood his office with letters of protest against the pipeline going under the Missouri River.</p>
<p>- Agnes gave a report on Public Banking. There is a lawyer, Matt Stannard who is doing a conference call on KMUD about the ramifications of starting a Public Bank. Cities have more power than Counties, and Santa Rosa is a Charter City with a Public Bank
that Cannabis businesses can use for deposits. Oakland will do research on Public Banks and share info with Santa Rosa.</p>
<p>- Your Congressman is busy running from confirmation hearing to the next hearing, and fielding Trumps tweets, but if the phone line is busy keep trying. 212-224-3221.
