If you consider the early economic dominance of this country, you will come to realize much of it was built with the unwilling help of millions of slaves. A couple of hundred years of free labor gave us quite a boost. Also worth considering, is how we’ve come to treat slavery’s descendants. Do we assume all Black people are angry? Is that why a Black man is 21 times more likely to be shot if stopped by the police?
