- City of Ft Bragg Management problems: We discussed the lawsuit regarding Old Coast Hotel and the petition to recall Mayor Dave Turner, the issue being discomfort at Hospitality House and Ortner being in charge of the homeless and mental health of people
who go there for help. Ann feels this issue is out of the hands of City personnel, as Ortner was contracted by the Board of Supervisors and Hospitality House is mandated by their grants to be in control of medications even though they are not licensed doctors.
Sheila dislikes the whole setup and does not want Hospitality House to have so much power, and feels the Old Coast Hotel is not a good place to have homeless services, especially with the people running Hospitality House in charge. Ann just found out that
a place North of Fort Bragg, Holly Village, which was a CBDG grant funded facillity, is now being closed and sold at a loss to the City, and felt that its location out of town and its many cottages with caretaker rooms would have been a much better place for
a homeless service center. This should be addressed to the City management.

- 4th of July Parade: Carrie Durkee has a flatbed truck and a drumming group for all activist groups to follow and we will meet to join Saturday the 4th - parade starts at noon in Mendocino. Are there enough people to hold our banner? Some of us belong
to other groups in the parade. We will pass out Occupy cards and Public Banking Occucards. Bob wants to make a model drone out of scrap wood, and have lazers shooting rays at the "dead" puppets on the flatbed. It is a great idea, and Bob will try to get
his friend Lloyd to help execute it by the Parade.

- Sheila gave a report on the Mendocino Film Festival school essays. Only one was turned in by Maria Ramos of middle school and it was very good, so we have a winner! Next year we will have to plan with the teachers better, get students more interested,
and revise how we conduct the distribution of tickets and follow-up with students as to helping them get to the films or urging them to follow through. We are not sure how many students were given tickets, how many were even told about the movies being shown,
etc. Sheila spent $115 of our treasury and not all tickets were used, or else the kids didn't admit they went so they didn't have to write an essay...

- Hwy cleanup was done this morning in Caspar, with Ann, Bob, Dan and Sheila helping. Irene wanted to help but we need to get a set of gear for her so she has the hardhat, vest and pick-up tool. Bob wants us to check when the mowing gets done so that next
time every bit of trash is not shredded just before we do cleanup. We got 3 large bags of trash, and we need to report to Caltrans where the bags to be picked up are and who is participating. They notice and give awards when we do a good job.

- Street protest: Sheila wants a flipboard to count honks. Irene will tell newspapers about our meetings so it is noticed in Ft Bragg and Mendocino.

- Paul Lambert and John Coates have both left KZYX suddenly, probably because they cannot stand criticism. Burce Anderson told Sheila that she should put a notch in her belt, because she always reported news of their meetings and their failures to be inclusive.
They were also in heat with the FCC. You can read Sheila's articles in the AVA.
