No doubt MANY OF YOU HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES yesterday. . .<br><br>I went to NYC Rally/Protest yesterday evening. IT WAS AWESOME!!! .<br>I was most moved by THE NUMBER OF YOUTH, White YOUTH and by the large <br>TURN OUT OF PEOPLE OF ALL RACES, AGES, RELIGIONS, COMMUNITIES. I was <br>supposed to meet up with a lesbian couple from WOC PI~NYC but Luci had <br>to teach until 7:30 which was about when I decided to take my cold <br>tired bones to the Port Authority.<br><br>I sat it out while the group led by mostly White ENTHUSIASTIC youth <br>attempted to take the Brooklyn Bridge. Having marched from Union Sq to <br>Foley Sq, I sat it out! I am a bonafide real Senior (Citizen)! I was <br>NOT about to march on to Brooklyn. IT'S WINDY & COLD on that Bidge.<br><br>I see in the news that the group(s) Mass Incarceration Network Rally <br> from Union Sq AND ACLU Rally from Foley Sq who had merged were <br>'allowed' to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, referred to as 'To Take the <br>Bridge.' I am sad I cannot go back tonite. .<br><br>To me IT WAS REMINISCENT of protest rallies of the 1970's WITH THE <br>EXCEPTION THAT THE GROUP WAS FAR MORE DIVERSE. This is THE PEOPLE'S <br>MOVEMENT, AWESOME!<br><br>I am sure you each had similar experiences.<br><br>Take care, Emilia<br><br>For I was in prison and you visited me. . . . whatsoever you do for <br>the least of my brothers, so you do onto me. ~ Matthew 25:36<br><br><br><br>-----Original Message-----<br>From: Stop Mass Incarceration Network <<a href="mailto:stopmassincarceration@gmail.com">stopmassincarceration@gmail.com</a>><br>To: Riseup Mailing List <<a href="mailto:stopmassincarceration@lists.riseup.net">stopmassincarceration@lists.riseup.net</a>><br>Sent: 05-Dec-2014 07:03:30 +0000<br>Subject: [stopmassincarceration] NYC: Mass Meeting Sunday December 7 to organize a Week of Mass Outrage beginning Monday<br><br> <div id="AOLMsgPart_2_23f8afff-883f-401f-9b93-1796254e284c"> <div dir="ltr"><div><b><font color="#0000ff" face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></b></div><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><font size="4" color="#0000ff"><b>Mass Meeting <span class="aolmail_"><span class="aolmail_">Sunday December 7</span></span> to organize a Week of Mass Outrage beginning Monday</b></font><br></font><div><span style="font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></span></div><div><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:large;color:rgb(0,0,0)"><b>Intensify and Spread the Struggle Against Police Murder and the New Jim Crow — Get Organized and Go Higher! </b></span><br></font></div><div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font size="4" face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:large;color:rgb(34,34,34)">Sunday, 3 PM - December 7</span><br></font></div><div><font size="4" face="verdana, sans-serif">West Park Presbyterian Church</font></div><div><span style="font-size:12.8000001907349px;line-height:12.8960008621216px"><font face="verdana, sans-serif">165 W 86th St, New York, NY 10024</font></span></div><div><span style="line-height:12.8960008621216px"><font face="verdana, sans-serif">at the corner of Amsterdam Avenue, enter on 86th</font></span></div><div><span style="line-height:12.8960008621216px"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></span></div><div><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><b style="color:rgb(0,0,255)">Mass Meeting <span class="aolmail_"><span class="aolmail_">Sunday December 7</span></span> to organize a Week of Mass Outrage beginning Monday</b><span style="line-height:12.8960008621216px"><br></span></font></div><div><b style="color:rgb(0,0,255);font-size:large"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></b></div><div><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">The actions of the people the last week have achieved a great deal. </span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"> </span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">These actions have forced everyone in this country to confront the reality of this epidemic of police brutality and murder, of mass incarceration, of the criminalization of entire peoples. </span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"> </span></font></div><div><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><br></font></span></div><div><font face="verdana, sans-serif"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">Now is certainly not the time to retreat or quiet down.
