This meeting focused on chanting and sound healing, led by Joy, and how music is such a powerful way to bring people together for social change. At the beginning of Occupy Mendo, we were all about music, thanks to Richard, the two Sheilas, Irene, Ed, and others. Somehow the music stopped.</font></div><div><font face="Goudy" size="4"><br></font></div><div><font face="Goudy" size="4">I was in the Bay Area recently at a demonstration against Bank of America and women brought instruments and we sang during the entire demo, except for one or two short speeches. Nancy Schimmel is part of Occupella (and a music co-writer with an old friend, Bonnie Lockhart).
