Keith and Agnes did a powerpoint and answered questions. The questions that stood out - "How will the Bank be Capitalized?" Can we use the County "Rainy Day Fund?" There is a PBI website that answers most issues. There will not be another meeting until after the June election. Robin Sunbeam is running for office of Assesor/Clerk/Recorder to replace Susan Ranochek. We need to fix wording by November. Jessie and Agnes are looking at the 2 versions of the Carter and comparing them to get it right.<BR> <BR>2) Robin Sunbeam has an organizing meeting 3/20 and needs $$ for filing fees. Agnes is helping. Jed Davis spoke on TV about his fight against foreclosure. On Friday 3.21 there will be a League of Woman Voters meet & greet with elected officials in Caspar. It is to schmooze and support, not for formal endorsements. We should not campaign as an Occupy group. A committee of 4 formed to organize for election actions.<BR> <BR>3) Fracking - Keystone protest big event on Sun 4/27. We will make signs for our Friday protests.<BR> <BR>4) Navy Testing meeting at 4:30 at the Library. We need a group with a plan to oppose testing. ACTIONS to take - put on LISTSERV and ask Ed Oberweiser and Richard to put up on web. Deadline for comments on Navy website was extended to April 15, 2014.<BR> <BR>5) Community Rights - Water ordinance is being formulated. Willits CELDF Representative came there. It will be finalized by 3/30, after which we have 2 months to get 5000 Signatures.<BR> <BR>6) MCTV is being harassed by lawyer Ruprecht as the Footlighters have not paid him all he wanted, and MCTV gave all they could. The MCTV Board cannot dissolve formally until the settlement is accepted, and then they can go through the legal process to dissolve, after which the City and County can pick a new public access provider. Earl Oliver, who used to work at MCTV is designated to handle the educational focus. Elizabeth Swenson has been harassed and has come up with many pages of documentation showing just how much she spent on every facet of the operation. The City did not keep up any paperwork and is very fuzzy on the business end of the operation. We need to send in our Grand Jury investigation forms and ask questions about how the whole issue was handled.<BR> <BR>7) 99% Rise- Richard wants us to focus more on the 99% movement instead of the Occupy movement, which has gotten bad press and publicity about negative protests, riots, arrests, etc. That turns off a lot of people who would otherwise support our stand for justice. We want to be inclusive. Should we change our logo? Sheila says "Don't let misinformation rule the movement. We are the 99%.<BR> <BR>8) Street protest - in newspaper it says we are there from 3-5, but it really is 4-5. May 31 is a bon voyage for the bank, so we can move over to Chase. We will make signs to Chase Chase away. We also want to come down on Wells Fargo as there is news about their wicked predatory foreclosure practices, and a manual they distributed telling how to illegally block people from keeping their homes. The big 3 worst banks are BOA, Chase and Wells Fargo.<BR> <BR>9) Phil Ting is mentioned in a letter Agnes wants all of us to send to Chesbro and Noreen Evans about requiring a letter of authenticity for banks to sign assuring that the documentation for loans are not frauds. This is a requirement that Robin sunbeam will meet, as Susan Ranochek does not keep fraudulent documents out of Mendocino County and it is costing us money and foreclosures.<BR> <BR>10) We have $887.89 in the treasury. We will need some money for mailings, etc. We want to make some Public Bank cards that explain the banking system and how having a Public Bank will benefit our County. <BR> <BR>11) Kay Rudin came in late and gave a report back about the Bradley Manning trial, and her role as a Court Sketch artist. She has a lot of drawings, and this was kept suppressed but was the trial of the century - and a huge issue of whistleblowing, justice, and the agony of endless War. Right now Kay is facing a large delinquent tax bill and needs to sell some drawings or other items to save her land from a tax lien. The land is paid for, but the County will foreclose unless she pays thousands in past penalties. We will look into a Senior Tax relief help. <BR> <BR> </div></body>
