It appears that one of the accusations against Charles Bush by members of the Senior Center Board of Directors is that Charles, as Executive Director, has not done enough to raise funds. It's my understanding, from observation of other local chartered non-profits, that fundraising is not one of the Executive Director's many responsibilities, but is in fact the assigned responsibility of the Board Members.<br></blockquote></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><blockquote type="cite"><br></blockquote></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><blockquote type="cite"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre; "> </span>I am a senior living in this community for many decades, and have seen nothing but great improvement and access since Charles became ED. His leadership has inspired me to increased contributions. When he stepped in, the Center had been victimized and torn apart from within. It seems as if something similar is happening now, with some Board Members taking illegal steps to pursue an unpublicized agenda of their own. I value the Senior Center and the work of Charles Bush, and hope that the upcoming meeting will straighten out the current issues and lead to the return of legally mandated procedures on the part of the Board. Our Senior Center is a precious resource for the entire coastal community. The Finance Committee shall develop, subject to Board approval, written policies for long-range investment and financial planning, which are consistent with any long-range, strategic plans for the Corporation.</li><li type="A" style="margin-top: 0px; padding-top: 0px; line-height: 22px; ">Fundraising Committee: The Fundraising Committee shall actively employ effective methods to raise funds for the Center, sharing fundraising leadership, ideas, and support with the Executive Director. All Board Members should be cognizant of the financial status of Redwood Coast Seniors and assist with its fundraising efforts.</li><li type="A" style="margin-top: 0px; padding-top: 0px; line-height: 22px; ">Governance Committee: The Governance Committee shall conduct an annual review of the Bylaws, Personnel Policies, Mission Statement, Organizational Values, and Strategic Plan in preparation for discussion and approval by the Board. (See section on Bylaws Amendments: III.
