Bragg currently gets grant money from the Federal gov't for the Hospitality House (HH), a non profit organization set up to provide food , shelter & laundry facilities to people without homes. The grants are for renovation costs only--operational costs are raised through fundraisers. The HH has to provide the City proof that they are serving the required number of
clients through intake application forms.<br></span></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br><span class="tab"> In recent months, the H H has also taken responsibility for the administration for the Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center which is county funded. Located in the Franklin St. mall (near the DMV), the Center provides day services through a voucher system. <br></span></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span class="tab"> The Transitional House (located on Harrison St.) is also county fu</span>nded through HUD monies. It's purpose is to allow clients to transition into independent housing. It requires clients to provide one third of their income for housing. It is also managed by
HH.</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span class="tab"> The Red House, also County funded and managed by HH, is a club model for those with mental health problems. It provides shower facilities.</span></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span class="tab"> The City also receives grant funding for the operation of the Homeless Mental Health Prevention program. It is run by the Hospitality Center in collaboration with the Mendocino Coast Clinic. Clients are assigned a case manager who sees that medical,dental and psychiatric care are
available to </span>those in need.</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span class="tab"> The Community Housing Development Corporation receives Federal funding to provide low cost housing to those who meet eligibility requirements.</span></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><span class="tab"> In regard to </span>funding to provide security deposits for people without housing, Ms. Owens
