It's not a meeting at which we can speak. The board members are there for learning purposes and we might be considered a distraction. However, since the Board's resolutions did not specifically reference Occupy, and since there is a specific policy that use of facilities does not signify RCSC endorsement, it's quite possible that the refusal to permit Occupy to use Center space will be seen as a misinterpretation. </div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">        </span>This situation, however, does give Occupy an opportunity to further one of its prime objectives: <u> increase participation</u> in community affairs. It would be salutary if a number of Occupy folks can attend the next Board meeting at 1 pm next Saturday at the Center. That would signal the Board that they have a constituency to which they are accountable –– community citizens who are interested in the good work the Center is doing and wish to participate in decision-making discussions.</div><div><br></div><div>
