"normal" dust inside your computer and can cause thermal problems.<br>

You may notice your computer slowing down, or in the worst case it will <br>
shut down because of too much heat.<br>
<br>
Last night due to the ambient heat, my old laptop would barely work, it <br>
was as slow as my old 386 PC from 28 years ago.<br>
<br>
It got slower over the last few months and I did notice, but recently it <br>
slowed down much more to the point it was nearly unusable.<br>
<br>
I finally took it completely apart and removed the motherboard to <br>
discover the "regular" dust that computers attract, but there was a LOT <br>
of it and it was all stained reddish brown from the smoke, it coated the <br>
cooling fan and the whole inside of the computer making it impossible to <br>
stay cool.<br>
<br>
Also, the thermal heat sink compound on the CPU was dried out, which <br>
makes for a much hotter and slower running computer as well.<br>
<br>
I throughly cleaned the all the insides and installed new heat sink <br>
compound on the CPU.<br>
<br>
Just got it all back together and it's Much Faster now, and running Much <br>
Cooler, huzzah!<br>
<br>
If you can look inside the cooling exhaust duct/grille on your computer <br>
and see any dust, you will have this issue as well.<br>
<br>
Heat is the enemy of computers, a hot running computer will run slower, <br>
and fail sooner than a cool one.<br>
