One clarifying example of "commercial attitude" is the constant
promotion of programs in the future - as much as a week aheadl The
affect on me and others is to distract and break the train of
thought from what the program is (mood) creating - like the
commercials commercially. IMO individuals respond with
frustration about their mental/emotional state being
disturbed/violated senselessly. ~BC<br>

<div>You say "local programming content is superb but is
being diminished by a commercial attitude." That rings true to
me. And your definition of the term (below) is clear enough. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>The "commercial attitude" must be replaced by another that
"facilitates community development in spirit and practice"
That also rings true but I would like to hear more, so please
expand on that. I have heard similar things from others who
were around the station in its early days.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>And you note "we have a lot of discovery coming up in the
near future." Yes, I agree again. Everything indicates that we
are on the brink of change, of great change and we need a
place, a local place, to talk about it as it happens. As you
say "KZYX is perhaps the most critical platform for that
evolutionary exploration." That is a big compliment and a huge
responsibility. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Do others on this list have similar feelings about the
"commercial attitude" and what should replace it?</div>
