The Corporatocracy pays centurion-lawyers big bucks to swat flies as efficiently as they can. Look what SCOTUS did with Citizens United.</div><div><br></div><div>Measure S is not the ultimate goal. Creating a powerful, implacable movement of many "Measure S'es" across the land IS. Getting people, from the grassroots to celebrities, to see that the Community Rights Movement is perhaps the ONLY HOPE against the basically fascist (and I use that word carefully) corporatocracy—a 21st century global police state. One measure or ordinance, or even a handful, does not a movement make. Our work has only just begun.</div><div><br></div><div>We will win on Tuesday. But that is no time to rest upon our laurels. What will we do when, sooner or later, our Measure is declared "illegal". Barry Vogel, a good friend of ours, already has declared it as such. I want to thank you all from my heart for boldly stepping forward and shifting the dialogue in Mendocino County about how decisions are made, and putting your community in the drivers seat for water protection, community rights and real democracy, vibrant, alive and messy! <br>

Win or lose tomorrow (it really feels like a win) I am so proud and honored to have been your partner through this last year – and on the one hand, you’ve already won, you know that. This is the beginning of a big change for Mendocino, and beyond...way beyond. I’m looking forward to the victory party this weekend, and celebrating with you all this historic moment. <br>

It has been a privilege to be there with you every step of the way, and I will continue to be there for you in the wake of election day tomorrow and into the future. If we win the ballot tomorrow you all will be living under a new governance structure (WOW) while boosting the anti-fracking movement, working with me in forming the basis of the state-level CRN (WOW), and putting California on the national Community Rights map in powerful extraordinary ways! If we don’t hit our target tomorrow, we have still made huge leaps in asserting community rights. Thank you all for your time, effort, love, passion, commitment, struggle, and bravery.
