Were we relying on Kiara to write the press release? I am available if we need another body in this dance...
Yes, Shannon Biggs and I will be finalizing a PR that will be sent out Monday.
Ed, I will forward your PR to her. Thanks.
Kiara, Shannon's assistant will field calls for us since she is in the office M-F 9-5.
We hope to have many members show up at the election office at 1pm Thursday.
And I believe Carrie will be announcing logistics for a picnic celebration afterwards.
Hope to see you all there, In Community, Peter

I don't know if anyone has come up with a press release for our turning in the signatures to the county. Here is my first draft for your suggestions.

Ed O

The Community Rights Network of Mendocino County has gathered more than enough signatures to qualify their community rigthts ordinance for the November 2014 ballot. They will turn in the gathered signatures to the county on June 26.

This will give the citizens of Mendocino to decide whether or not to ban franking in their county. Mendocino County is in a drought emergency status as declared by the Board of Supervisors. California is in the midst of the worst drought in its history.

We cannot afford to have millions of gallons of water to be used for this dirty and dangerous technology. California needs that water for the growth of crops. The very real possibility of having this precious resource contaminated by fracking is unacceptable. The Community rights ordinance will allow we the people to decide this important issue in our community.
