We have been working directly with Katrina at the county on the petition, after researching the state and county websites. I believe Shannon has said that we should print the petitions here and Global Exchange will pay for it. We don't know if that printing contribution must be counted as part of the $1000 or not.<div><br></div><div>We are prepared to publicize the ordinance as soon as we get the okay from the county.</div><div><br></div><div>The Treasurer part is a bit vague because we never elected a treasurer. I gave the blue book to Kelly, who, for some reason, (because he was charged with opening a bank account?) gave it to Michael Dean. That caused us to have to do all the research all over again, I'm afraid - I just realized this morning that all the info was probably in the blue book already. There are critical parameters to the drafting of such a document which Global Exchange has experience with. From what I understand the printing of petitions has been budgeted for already. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:rgb(68,68,68)">
I am concerned with what seems to be a lack of communication. For instance, how much money is in the Treasury? What is the budget? Who is documenting expenditures? Can we keep it under $1,000? Who is filing the appropriate forms with the County? Have we filed form 460? Are we prepared to publicize the ordinance in the newspaper? If committees are doing these things why is it not posted? </div>
